Cordyline australis ‘Torbay Dazzler’

Cordyline australis variagata

Often mistaken for a palm tree, but in fact are trees native to New Zealand.  The Torbay Palm will grow very fast once established and grows to become quite a tall tree. Excellent choice for giving height and structure.

  • Situation: Full or part sun, well-drained soil
  • Hardiness: Hardy
  • Grows to: 2.5m tall by 2m
SKU: Torbay Palm Categories: , Tags: , ,

The Torbay Dazzler will perform very nicely in windy, exposed environments where most other big structural plants and palms struggle. Requires very little looking once established; watering is generally unnecessary and feeding is rarely necessary unless potted in a container. If so, water Torbay Dazzler regularly throughout dry spells and feed monthly from late May to early September.

Cut back the old tatty lower leaves on this variegated Cordyline to keep in a tidy, neat shape. This can be done once or twice during the growing season.
