Snow before Christmas?

Hello All, we've been busy brushing of the snow/ice of the palm trees today. It's not necessarily something we would usually do but the conditions here in the last 24 hours have been quite unusual. Snow fell yesterday afternoon immediately followed by rain, which then froze to ice. It's hard to tell from the forecast how long this ice would of have remained so rather then let it persist we gently brushed/shook it off.

We also did this with our olive trees too and bamboo. Although not really necessary with the bamboo it does take the weight of the canes and allow it to spring back to some normality.
