Ferns – Dinosaur Dinner

Ferns date back to over 300 million years old and there are thousands of different species around the world which were thriving even before flowering plants! They add rich colour and structure especially when blended with other plants in the border. Many varieties are native to the UK, some love full shade others do remarkably in full sun, some ferns are evergreen others die back in winter. From the small to the very large there are ferns for all environments offering texture, shape and architectural interest to any planting theme.
