An unusual variable evergreen shrub native to New Zeland. Its common name the Wire netting bush does go some way to describing it's wiry growth habit. In a good sunny location Corokia virgata produces handsome little yellow flowers in late spring. An interesting plant for a garden bed due to it's wiry form, giving contrast against more 'normal' shrubs.

Works well with Australian plants, Bottlebrush, Tea tree etc and Mediteranean plants.

To retain a good shape prune back Corokia virgata after flowering.
