A fast growing bamboo as well as one of the largest. Without doubt the most contrasting and striking of all the golden-caned bamboo. 

Phyllostachys vivax 'Aureocaulis' makes an excellent tall screen or as a stand-alone specimen. Contrasts beautifully with Phyllostachys nigra - the black cane bamboo. To keep the golden colour position Phyllostachys vivax 'Aureocaulis' in as much sun as possible.
